Discover Space UK Spaceport

In July, 2014 Campbeltown Airport on the West Coast of Scotland was one of eight locations across the UK shortlisted as a potential Spaceport site.

The UK Government aims to establish an operational Spaceport by 2018. The selected site will be used as a base for space travel and tourism, as well as satellite launches.

Campbeltown Airport is the ideal place to discover space as the only shortlisted site to exceed the 3,000m criteria for runway length, with a strip already twice approved for space flight.
