Plans for the UK’s first spaceport in Campbeltown were heard by members of the 2015 UK-Canada Colloquium, held in Glasgow. The colloquium heard from Discover Space UK on the economic opportunities and obstacles that the UK Spaceport is expected to bring. The presentation was well received by the audience and was followed up by an impressive visit to Clydespace and Spire satellite manufacturing centre at the Skypark Centre in Glasgow. The Colloquium also heard from Prestwick and Llanbedr on their views on the Spaceport project at their respective locations.
